The summer is flying and we’re just a little over a month away from the start of the Fall semester! This month, we’re turning our attention to important reminders as you solidify your plans to return to campus next month and important information for our incoming first-year students (‘27) around what to expect as housing assignments are released later this month.
First-year students will receive their housing assignments on July 31st. Students will be notified via their @wfu.edu email address and will be able to log into their housing portal to see their room assignment, their roommate (if applicable), and a suggested move-in timeframe for August 23rd. Students will also receive a Roomie link which will allow them to access a 3-D interactive model of their room layout to help plan and shop for their space, as well as other resources and tips to prepare for move-in day!
As a reminder, the 23-24 Move-In schedule is as follows:
- First-year and transfer students will have the opportunity to move in on Wednesday, August 23rd from 8 AM – 2 PM EST (with move-in help through 12 PM).
- Continuing students – meaning sophomores, juniors, and seniors – will have the opportunity to move in on Friday, August 25th, or Saturday, August 26th from 9 AM to 4 PM EST.
- Students participating in pre-orientation programs will arrive on August 18th or August 19th from 9 AM- 4 PM. Approved students will receive instructions regarding move-in dates (which will vary by program), directly from our office.
We’ll be sending final information regarding check-in and our opening week to their wfu.edu email address, so make sure they’re checking regularly in the coming weeks!
If your student is living on-campus for Summer Session II, they will soon be receiving information regarding move-out and transition to their fall assignment. As a reminder, students will check out of their summer housing assignment on Saturday, August 12 by 2 PM EST. Students who will be living on campus for Fall 2023 will transition to their 23-24 housing assignment on this day.
